Product availability & Pricing
If you are interested in a diamond or piece of jewellery, contact us in order for us to confirm availability of stock. Sometimes with the volume of orders we receive, an item can go out of stock before we are able to post notification on the site. If this happens, we will notify you personally so we can help you find another item or manufacture the specific item for you. We manufacture most of a items on order and manufacturing normally takes two weeks. Infrequently, data may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. View your diamond before it is set
If you prefer, you can view your diamond before it is set. Please do not hesitate to contact us to set up an appointment.
We can also take photos by x 10 magnification and send you a copy of the certificate.

Payment methods:
For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:

Internet Bank transfers: Arrange payment through your bank via the internet.
Telephone banking: Arrange payment through your bank via your telephone.
Cash: We do accept cash.
Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard and Maestro cards are accepted. We do not accept American Express or Diners.

Deliveries and insurance in South Africa
We offer secure delivery throughout South Africa via courier companies such as RAM and QED. We fully insure each order all the way to you. That means that when your order is in transit to you, it is always risk-free. Quotations will be done separately for each individual order. Transport and delivery costs are normally approx. R350.00 - R550.00 (incl.).

International shipments
We will ship orders internationally via priority mail, Ram hand-to-hand couriers or Brinks and will quote shipping and insurance charges on each individual order.

VAT
14% VAT is only collected on orders shipped / delivered to addresses in South Africa. In the case of an international shipment VAT or Tax, duties, clearance etc. will be charged by customs of that particular country.

At Diamond Source we make every attempt to ensure that our online pricelist and cataloge is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, color and size may vary slightly.

How do I order a diamond or jewellery piece?
If we do not have the item in stock: 1. Fill in the request form. 2. Fax or email your order to us or phone us on 27(0) 11 484 734/49. We will then be able to confirm price and availability of what you would like.

When do I have to pay?
When we receive your final order we send you a "Pro Forma Invoice" or final quotation with the total amount in ZAR. We then require a 50% deposit for manufacturing and the balance on completion before collection. You can pay via one of the above methods

When do I receive my order?
We will send your order as soon as we have received full payment or valid proof of payment. Deliveries takes approx. 24 hours to reach you anywhere in South Africa. International deliveries takes approx. three to four working days. *We do not send orders on Fridays or over weekends.

Return Policies:
All the diamonds we sell are certified. (all diamonds of 0.30ct. and bigger.) The certificates are from JCSA (Jewellery Council of South Africa), E.G.L South Africa, DIA South Africa, GIA or occasionally from IDL, HRD or IGI. For this reason there should not be a problem concerning size, colour, clarity or proportions. We will email or fax a copy of the certificate before you order the diamond on request. If for some reason the diamond and the certificate we sent does not match we will gladly refund the diamond purchased.
